Additional Activities to Enrich the Unit
Cat-Themed Crafts
- Make a paper plate cat mask and decorate it with crayons, markers, or fuzzy craft sticks for whiskers.
- Create a cat collar using yarn, beads, and a little tag with the Letter C on it.
Letter C Sensory Bin
Fill a box or tray with items that begin with C (cotton balls, craft sticks, small cat figures) and let kids dig in.
You can bury laminated letter Cs and have them “rescue” or “find” them.
C Is for Cooking
Bake or prepare simple cat-shaped cookies, or decorate cupcakes with cat faces (use candy or fruit pieces for eyes, nose, and whiskers).
