Beyond the Storybook Guide
Curiosity Club
Nature study inspired by the creatures and natural world children encounter in Wonderland—rabbits, caterpillars, mushrooms, birds, hedgehogs, and more. The emphasis is on looking closely, asking questions, and taking that curiosity outdoors.
Listen to the Story
Every chapter of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is available through Once Upon a Storytime Podcast, so children can listen along as they make their way through the guide. This is especially nice for families who want to experience the original story together without requiring independent reading.
Sing Your Way Through Wonderland
The collection includes links to our original Wonderland songs, inspired by the characters, scenes, and wonderfully nonsensical world of Alice. Music gives children another way to remember and experience the story long after the book is closed.
Bring Wonderland to Life
This is where we feature the companion games and activities: Follow the White Rabbit scavenger hunt, Queen Says, Mad Tea Party Musical Chairs, Queen’s Croquet, paper dolls, shrinking and growing activities, Wonderland curiosities, etc. These are the things that turn the book into something children can actually play.
A Story for the Whole Family
Then I’d do a short section specifically about having multiple ages. Preschoolers and elementary children can experience the same story, podcast, songs, and many of the same games, while each works from the Storybook Guide designed for their learning level.
